01/01/2023 A New Year Starts!

First of all, a happy running new year 2023 to everyone who loves running!

Two years passed in turbulence, the Covid-19 continues in everyday life, then conflict between Ukraine and Russia, making life harder than ever. But still, I need to keep running because that makes me feel alive!

In 2021, I managed to run outside 427 kilometers and inside the gym for 2h30m, that's about 20 kilometers, that makes a total of 447 kilometers, that's almost the same as last year.

In 2022, I did all the workout outside, and did 770 kilometers in total. That jump of distance is mainly due to: during the summer I run more often and for a longer distance in each run, after a suggestion from a friend saying that to run slowly and longer can help to progress. So I followed his suggestions, then I found I'm more motivated to run even more often. As a result, from July to December I almost doubled the distance as I did in the first half of the year. And in October, I even broke a monthly record to 117 kilometers, that's something I have never been able to do before.

Now, I also have a full set of equipment: the basic things like shoes, shirt, short, hat, watch, etc. and now I also have gloves, belt, earbuds, ... making the run even more enjoyable.

In summary, I added 1217 kilometers to the counter back to Beijing in these two years, that's a great achievement! And with this, I'm 4413 kilometers away from my starting point Antibes.

Now, I already run through Turkey and entered Iran, just passed the capital city of East Azerbaijan Province, in northwestern Iran, Tabriz. Here we can find the Tabriz Bazaar, once a major Silk Road market, is a sprawling brick-vaulted complex selling carpets, spices and jewelry.

Hope I can give a real visit one day to these places I passed in this virtual run!
